Susana Rodriguez 26, beloved granddaughter, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend made her transition to her eternal resting place on the evening of January 27, 2023.
Sue was born in Mexico to Perla Quinones and Alejandro Rodriguez on March 14, 1996, and raised by grandparents, Manuela and Jesus Rodriguez. She migrated to the US 5 years later. She learned English on the playground and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Dallas in 2015. At one point, she entered the foster care system where she was nurtured under the care of Glenda Brown, affectionately known as Mama G. Sue never forgot this time in her life and visited and called Mama G often. Sue began sharpening her skills at being of service to others and at the end of her life that natural ability led her to be a CNA at a nursing home. Susana was proud to finally become a US citizen in 2021.
Susana enjoyed spending time with her family, going to church and shopping for sneakers. Traveling, the ocean, dolphins and her pets is where she found peace. She delighted in chocolate chip cookies, hot cheese puffs, corn bread and mac n cheese.
Susana leaves behind her grandparents, Manuel and Jesus Rodriguez; her parents Alejandro Rodriguez and Perla Quinones; her siblings Sergio, Carlos, Daniel, Alberto, Karina and Sofia, her nieces Skylar and Lanie; her nephew Carlos Jr.; Mama G and many dear friends.
She is known for overwhelming energy and acts of selflessness. Susana lived by a mantra "always put God first, help where needed and enjoy life because tomorrow is not promised."
