Sylvia Camarillo Cortez

Sylvia Camarillo Cortez passed away on February 13, 2023, at the age of 57. She was born in Dallas, Texas to Joe and Amelia Camarillo on July 24, 1965. Sylvia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be remembered for her fiery personality and her love for her family.
Sylvia's greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. She was a devoted wife to her husband of 41 years, Isaias Cortez, Jr, her high school sweetheart. She was a loving mother to her four children and a proud grandmother to her eight grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and happiness.
Sylvia had a passion for backyard barbecues where she could spend time with friends and family. She was hardworking and she loved to dance. She spent her career proudly working for the Brandt Company.
Sylvia will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will be cherished by her husband, children, grandchildren, and countless friends and family members. She was a shining example of love, kindness, and generosity, and her legacy will live on through the many lives she touched.
The family invites friends and loved ones to attend and pay their respects to this wonderful woman at the visitation at Hughes Family Tribute Center on Thursday, February 16, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A graveside service for Sylvia will be held at Calvary Hill Cemetery in Dallas on February 17, 2023, at 3:00 PM.
