`Vincent Estrada Gonzales, affectionately known as "Bubba," was born in Dallas, Texas, to Marie A. Estrada and Vincent Gonzales II. He entered eternal rest on June 6, 2025, just one day before his 52nd birthday, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Vincent had a joyful childhood filled with laughter and love. When he was 12 his brother Nicholas was born and Gregory was born when he was 18. His nickname "Bubba" emerged sweetly when a brother struggled to pronounce "brother." He graduated from Plano East, carrying with him friendships and memories he cherished throughout his life.
Vincent experienced profound loss when his father, Vincent Gonzales II, passed away far too soon. This tragedy brought him even closer to his mother, Marie, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond and deep mutual respect.
Vincent was blessed with his greatest joys-his two sons and two daughters. The dedication he had toward his children never wavered. Vincent's singular desire was to raise and care for his children. Together with his unwavering mother by his side, he raised his children. They decided jointly that Vincent would leave his job to become Mr. Mom, providing the stability, love, and guidance his children needed.
A man of quiet faith, Vincent was raised Catholic and, while not regularly attending church, firmly believed in God and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. His laid-back demeanor, gentle stubbornness, and innate kindness endeared him to all who knew him. Known for his generosity, Vincent wouldn't hesitate to help anyone in need-even if all he had left were his last two dollars.
Vincent delighted in simple pleasures. He savored baby back ribs or an Oldtimer with Cheese at Chili's and enjoyed watching Marvel movies, especially Wolverine and Silver Surfer. He had a nostalgic fondness for classic cartoons like He-Man and Transformers and was an avid Star Wars fan. Vincent was also a loyal Cowboys supporter, sparking playful family rivalry, particularly with his mother who had long abandoned the team.
Once his kids had grown, Vincent returned to working outside the home. Despite his bravery and resilience, a misdiagnosis early in his illness ultimately made his fight against cancer an uphill battle. Yet, through all his struggles, his greatest pride and deepest joy remained his children.
Vincent leaves behind his devoted mother, Marie A. Estrada, his four cherished children, Cynthia Gonzales, Ignacio Gonzales, Bryana Gonzales and Vincent Gonzales IV, his loving siblings, Nicholas Escobedo and his wife Jessica Escobedo and Gregory Guillot, his nieces and nephews Devyn, Isabella, Sean, Nathan, Brooklyn and Emery Escobedo and many aunts, uncles and cousins. In heaven, he joyfully reunites with his father, Vincent Gonzales II.
Vincent's legacy of love, kindness, and family devotion will be deeply missed and forever celebrated by all who knew him.
