Vivian McFerrin Life Story

Vivian Ruth McFerrin entered this world on May 8th, 1925, in Valley Mills, Texas to her father, James Carl and mother, Maud Evelyn McKelvy. She passed from this life peacefully surrounded by her family on November 17, 2021. Vivian attended Gatesville High School and went on to get a degree in fashion design from Texas Women's University.

Vivian loved football, especially the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas A&M Aggies. She loved to go to the Dallas Symphony, Dallas Opera, and enjoyed a good game of bridge. She attended the Believer's Chapel in Dallas, as well as being a longtime member of the Highland Park Book Club.

Vivian was predeceased by her husband, Kyle McFerrin; and her siblings, Lucile, Carl, George, Evelyn, and Paul. She is survived by her children Pam McFerrin, Stanley McFerrin (Sue), and Kyla Prestwood (Louis); grandchildren Jerry Simpson, Kimberly Kennedy, Kyle McFerrin (Christen), Leigh Ann Prestwood, Sam Prestwood (Marie), and great grandchildren Clara, Mikey, Nicky, and Barrett.  She was also survived by her niece Babs McKelvy and nephew Craig McKelvy.  

The family would like to express their appreciate to The Forum at Park Lane, Garden of Eden IN Home Care and ,Trinity Hospice for their loving care of Vivian.

A cryptside service will be held Saturday, November 20’ 2021 in the Abbey Mausoleum at Restland Cemetery.
