In Loving Memory of Wilfred Sunil Job (July 6, 1971 – August 21, 2023)
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we gather to remember and celebrate the remarkable life of Wilfred Sunil Job, a man whose journey was a testament to the boundless power of faith, love, and unwavering dedication to serving humanity. Wilfred, born to Sundri Job and Job Charles (1934-2021) in India, embarked on a journey that touched countless lives and left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Wilfred's spiritual journey was one marked by profound purpose and a relentless pursuit of knowledge. His thirst for understanding led him to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Theology in Belgium, where he began to lay the foundation of his life's calling. He later continued his academic pursuits in the United States, achieving three Master's degrees in Theology, Psychology and Dispute Resolution from Southern Methodist University. This educational journey was but a prelude to the remarkable ministry that would become his life's work.
A true man of God, Wilfred's heart overflowed with love and compassion for all of God's children. He was not content with simply meeting immediate needs; his vision was grander, his love deeper. He believed in empowering the less fortunate, enabling them to find the strength and resources to stand on their own. His tireless efforts to uplift the marginalized were a shining example of his compassionate nature, as he worked tirelessly to provide not only physical sustenance but also spiritual nourishment to those in need.
Wilfred's generosity knew no bounds. He gave freely of his possessions and his time, a living embodiment of the scripture, "It is more blessed to give than to receive." His humility was his strength, and his heart was a haven of kindness and understanding. He welcomed friends from all walks of life into his circle, transcending differences and reminding us all of the universal power of love.
A true citizen of the world, Wilfred's heart knew no borders. His dream of visiting every continent was almost realized, having left his footprints in countless countries across the globe. From bustling cities to remote villages, he shared the message of love, hope, and salvation with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds. His life was a living testament to the unifying force of spirituality and human connection.
Wilfred Sunil Job is survived by his mother, Sundri Job, whose guidance and support were the bedrock of his extraordinary journey. He leaves behind his cherished sisters, Shashikala Shobha and Shyla Lagali, as well as his brother, Emmanuel Charles, who shared in his vision and passion for serving the Lord.
As we bid farewell to Wilfred Sunil Job, we take solace in the knowledge that he has found his eternal rest in the company of his beloved sister Geetha Uppin, his labor of love complete. In the words of scripture, "Well done, good and faithful servant." May his memory continue to inspire us to reach out in love, to serve with compassion, and to carry forth the legacy of a life truly well-lived.
